Sheridan, Solomon, and Kernaghan Realtors (SSK) was
founded in 1975. The agency’s beginnings, like most
small businesses, started out modest. The operations of
SSK began with a card table, four chairs, and a single
telephone; the three men had to take turns using the
phone. When the agency was first formed, SSK serviced
residential and commercial markets together under one
entity. Later, they formed two separate departments; one
specializes in residential markets, and the other in
commercial markets. By 1981, only six years after the
agency’s inception, SSK became Middle Georgia’s number
one residential real estate agency. Since that time, SSK
has continued to grow, and worked to maintain their top
position in the market.
SSK holds branches in both Bibb County and Houston
County. When the real estate market began moving south
of Macon, SSK moved with the market trend, and opened
an office in Warner Robins. That office has been operating
since 1996. The Warner Robins office quickly became
known in the community, and was positioned as the
number one leader in real estate for Houston County in
year 2000.
It wasn’t until 1997, that SSK became affiliated with the
nationally known Coldwell Banker Real Estate
Corporation. Peter Solomon, who began his residential
and commercial real estate sales at Flicking & Walker, Inc.
in 1969, believed that SSK needed a national identity to
accommodate all of the growth that was, and would be,
occurring in the markets surrounding Bibb and Houston
counties. Since SSK’s affiliation with Coldwell Banker, the
agency has tripled its size. During our interview with
Solomon, he explained that, “Becoming affiliated with a
national company was a great strategic move for the
agency, and has greatly expanded the services that we
now provide to the community.”
When SSK became associated with Coldwell Banker, it
also decided to purchase Eberthart & Barry Commercial.
Coldwell Banker, SSK then merged their commercial
department with Eberthart & Barry Commercial, giving
them the name
of Coldwell Banker Commercial Eberthart & Barry. Shortly
following this merge, Coldwell Banker Commercial
Eberthart & Barry grew so big that eventually, they decided
to sell the company to the four principle real estate
agents.

located on Bass Road. The Coldwell Banker, SSK
corporate office facility houses a training center,
conference area with smaller conference rooms, and
roughly 50 private offices. As a result of the resources that
Coldwell Banker, SSK provides, many of their realtor
associates are Million Dollar Producers. According to
Solomon, Coldwell Banker, SSK has more Million Dollar
Producers than any other Middle
Georgia real estate firm. Coldwell
Banker, SSK encourages and promotes continuing
education, which keeps their associates up-to-date on the
latest techniques, real estate law, and financing
programs. Coldwell Banker SSK takes pride in knowing
